“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
— 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Frequently asked questions
What is the Bible verse of the day?
The verse of the day is a single Bible verse chosen for each calendar day, to read, sit with, or share. This page draws from a curated collection of well-known verses across the Old and New Testaments, and the verse changes at midnight.
How is the verse of the day chosen?
The selection is deterministic: the day of the year picks the verse, so everyone visiting on the same day sees the same one and the rotation cycles through the whole collection across the year. Nothing is personalised and nothing is random about it — for a random verse, use the generator further up this page.
Can I read the verse of the day in KJV, NIV, ESV or NLT?
Yes. Today’s verse is shown in all four translations side by side on this page, so you can compare the wording directly. Only the translations we actually hold for that verse are listed.
Can I share the verse of the day?
Yes. Every verse has copy, link, X, Facebook, WhatsApp and email buttons, plus a downloadable verse picture sized for social posts.
Do you send a daily verse email?
Not yet. You can leave your email and you will get a welcome note, but there is no daily verse email going out at the moment. We would rather say so than promise a send that does not happen.
