“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
— Psalm 42:11 (NIV)
The encouraging verses in this rotation were mostly written to communities, not individuals: letters meant to be read aloud to tired churches, and words spoken over people standing at the edge of a task they felt too small for. That matters for how they land: encouragement in Scripture is rarely a mood, it is usually a reason. A promise with a name attached, a track record pointed to, a future described as already settled. Verses like Jeremiah 29:11 and John 16:33 sit in this pool beside the everyday work of 1 Thessalonians 5:11, which simply tells ordinary people to keep encouraging one another. One a day is a good pace for that.
This page serves one verse from the encouragement rotation each day, the same verse for every visitor on the same Central-time date. Read Psalm 42:11 in its full chapter here: read the whole chapter.
