“Do everything in love.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:14 (NIV)
This rotation moves between the two directions love runs in Scripture: God's love toward people, and the love people are then told to practise toward each other. The first direction comes with striking measurements attached: heights and depths in Romans 8, a steadfast love in Lamentations that is described as never ceasing, the declaration in 1 John 4 that love is not merely something God does but something God is. The second direction is practical and specific: patient, unenvying, quick to forgive, worked out in households and congregations. Reading one a day keeps both directions in view, in roughly the order the Bible keeps them.
This page serves one verse from the love rotation each day, the same verse for every visitor on the same Central-time date. Read 1 Corinthians 16:14 in its full chapter here: read the whole chapter.
