Christian Prayers

Biblical prayers for the moments that matter — forgiveness, healing, anxiety, morning, and night. Each grounded in Scripture with full context.

The Foundation

All Christian prayer rests on Christ — the Son who gives believers access to the Father (Hebrews 4:16). Every prayer here is grounded in Scripture, written in plain language, and includes the biblical theology behind why this is how we pray.

Prayers by Need

How to Pray (Biblical Pattern)

A — Adoration. Begin by worshiping God for who he is, not just what he gives. The Lord's Prayer opens with "hallowed be your name" — a declaration of God's holiness before any request.
C — Confession. Specific honest acknowledgment of sin. 1 John 1:9 promises forgiveness to all who confess. Confession is not telling God new information — it is agreeing with him about what he already sees.
T — Thanksgiving. Gratitude for what God has already done. Thanksgiving recalibrates the heart away from grievance toward perspective. Philippians 4:6 specifically commands "with thanksgiving" even in prayers of anxiety.
S — Supplication. Requests for yourself and others. Pray specifically; pray persistently (Luke 18); pray with confidence (Hebrews 4:16); and pray with submission ("your will be done," Matthew 6:10).
